We Made it into The Local paper
There is freedom waiting for you,
On the breezes of the sky,
And you ask "What if I fall?"
Oh but my darling, "What if you fly?"
- Erin Hanson
Welcome
Hi and welcome to our website 'Sailing to Roam'
We're an Aussie family of five who took a leap of faith a bought a yacht, sight unseen, in the Caribbean. We left our jobs, home, family and friends to experience a different way of life. We flew into Grenada in Feb 2018 and after two and a half months of back breaking boat jobs, we finally set sail. Oh did I mention we weren't sailors and only came up with the idea two years earlier?!? Join us on an adventure of a lifetime as we sail the Caribbean and beyond. Read about our trials and tribulations as we navigate our way through unknown waters, boat maintenance and home schooling. Without any firm plans, we will be relying on the wind to point us in the right direction. Do we sail to the Mediterranean, do we go to Mexico and the Sea of Cortez, should we go through the Pacific, back to Australia? We'd love to hear your opinion, get in contact and let us know where you think we should go! This site has been designed to share our stories and adventures with our family, friends and followers.
Read all about who we are and how this adventure came about and hopefully it will inspire you to get out there and have your own adventure, whatever that may be.

This isn't a regular kind of blog. I post all of our stories and photos on Facebook and Instagram as I know everyone is busy and may not have time to constantly look at my blog. So this site is primarily a repeater of the information I have posted on Facebook and Instagram.
I occasionally have people ask how they can send us a lil' something as a thank you for the information or inspiration we provide, so for that reason we created a Buy Us A Beer button. It absolutely makes our week when we receive a donation and every little bit helps towards our cruising kitty. So thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
